Our president has experienced skin cancer first hand. During his research for the best protection he realized many skin care products currently offered as effective sunscreens lack the true broad spectrum protection they claimed to provide. He started on a five year personal pursuit to recruit other team members also passionate about developing some better alternatives for use personally, as well as for the needs of others. The other team members easily caught the vision due to their own personal testimonies. Gregg Schmidt, our VP of Finance, had his son diagnosed with melanoma at the startling age of nine, but was fortunate to have caught it early enough for surgery to have completely removed it.
Out of that experience, and others, our management team has felt the personal need to move this cause forward. They bring personal passion to the mission which is to equip, educate, and encourage US residents regarding safe sun exposure by providing premium sun protection skin care products. We support this effort by being innovative in our product development. Our state of the art sun care line is poised and ready for release as soon as the FDA approves the first class UV filters upon which our line will be based. The company boasts a world class R&D team as well as an experienced board of advisors. Our primary advisor, Dr. Drew Jones, brings twelve years of dermatology practice and two years of research experience to our team.
Solaro Armour, Inc is based in Greensboro, North Carolina and was created as a Delaware Corporation. Solaro Armour, Inc. develops and markets skin care products utilizing new state of the art delivery technologies as well as filters promoting truly safe sun exposure to high risk individuals and families interested in maximizing safety and comfort in and after exposure to the sun.
